What I have learnt in 30 days

On the 30th November 2012 I completed my 30 day challenge. From the 1st November 2012, I decided to start 30 days of eating healthily, exercising and having still moments.

By day 5, my weight loss was 0.5kg and it was already proving hard to fit in the “me time” and “still time”. The healthy eating was going ok and the sweet-tooth deadline (no unhealthy foods after “such and such a time”) was a great tool!

Then skip past another 25 days and what can I reveal about my 30 day challenge?

  • It has been easier to have still/me time when I schedule it in.
  • Exercise, in which ever form, needs to be something that you enjoy. Don’t run if you hate it or find a way to love it!
  • Eating healthily is all about flavour. Make your healthy food taste good by using herbs and spices! You can actually retrain your taste buds.

To day, my weight loss is nearer 4kg but that is not as important as how I feel. I feel happier, healthier and more energetic.

I would encourage you to make your own challenge for 2013. Be better tomorrow than you are today!

To a fantastic 2013 and beyond…
