October is eye care awareness month and we have a great event to share with you, where you can join in and show your support.
The Cape Town Society for the Blind is organising it’s very first 5KM “RUN WITH A VISION” event on Saturday 06th October. This event is to raise awareness about the importance of eye care, the realities of living with low vision and the needs of people who are affected by total blindness. The event takes place at the Rondebosch Common, registration is at Rustenburg Girls High School.
Their Ambassador Shameen Adams (Multiple SA and world bodybuilding champion, winner of M-net series Fear Factor and USN brand ambassador) will be joining the event.
It is a family event and dogs are allowed on condition they are on a leash and accompanied with you at all times. You have the opportunity to run/walk alongside a blind person for the 1st KM. Registration is at 7h30am and the race will kick off at 8h30am.
