Rush Claremont (+ Giveaway!)

Some gifts don’t fit under the Christmas tree but they create moments your kids will remember forever. Spending time together as a family, moving, and enjoying new experiences is just what your child needs to shake off the stress of exams.

The National Institute for Play explains:

Children grow through many stages of physicalcognitive, and social-emotional development as they mature, and movement play is a big part of all three. Movement play activities are fundamental to children’s developing into capable adolescents and resilient adults. They are also some of the most fun and engaging forms of play for children of all ages, but especially for young children.

. . .While they run, swing, climb, and laugh with other children they are simultaneously developing their physical-motor skills (understanding how fast they can run or how far they can jump, for instance), their cognitive abilities (for example, assessing the risk of the next step in a climb), and their social-emotional skills (such as handling a playmate’s emotions).

. . .Movement play makes kids strongermore coordinatedmore knowledgeable, and more emotionally competent.

and Bupa Global notes the importance of family play:

Play is hugely important for children; encouraging creativity and imagination, developing social skills, and building confidence and resourcefulness.

But it can be easy to forget as we get older and busier, the importance of play for adults too. It can help reduce feelings of stress and loneliness, improve our brain functionality, and enhance our mood.

So, it makes sense that playing together can help support the mental health and wellbeing of the whole family – enhancing relationships, encouraging connection, and helping to build openness and trust.

Whichever activity you choose, play can be good for the emotional wellbeing of you and your child.

  1. Gosh! While all 3 of my children enjoy Rush and play parks like them, my youngest would absolutely be the one I take. Probably along with a friend.
She loves to play and this is something that would never go to waste.

  2. This would be most ideal for my energetic 10 year old and his sister who goes no where without him. They will have the best time together.

  3. I would take my son so he can burn off all the energy he has and I can hopefully get a second to chill lol it would definitely be the highlight of his holiday

  4. I’d take my sweet great niece and nephew . It would be a special time!

  5. Rush – our happy place! would love to take my husband, kid and a friend. The dodgeball section is the place to be!
