Roadtripping Snacks for Kids

With the autumn days flying by and the holidays around the corner, now is the time to fit in the last few road trips and/or picnics.

Preparing food can sometimes be a boring chore that is lumped onto mom’s already growing to do list. Why not get the kids involved?

My daughter loved making these (not-so-healthy) snacks for our little road trip and they are really easy to make and eat. Couple them with a few healthier more filling snacks and you are good to go!

  1. Popcorn – pop corn and insert into bag!
  2. Otee/Cheerio necklace – string cereal onto string (really great at keeping kids busy while you get other things done or a fun activity to do with them!)
  3. Sweetie kebab – also a fun snack for the kids to make and eat.

When you arrive, or while on your way, why not enjoy a picnic. Throw out the blanket, kick off your shoes and relax. Include some of the last of the bright and beautiful summer fruits (which are full of goodness) in your picnic and…okay, yes, there is chocolate in there too…but that is just for mom!

Happy Holidaying ♥
