A while ago, this book crossed my desk, and I have been meaning to tell you how much I love it! The Jellyfish Jiggle by Kayla Diamond is a fantastic book for little kids (and for big kids). I always love how these books come at the perfect time and they always touch me so much. My daughter and I curled up on the couch to see what all the jiggling was about.
Apart from being beautifully designed (and so cute!), I love the story and the lessons we learn in it. For me, that is the most important part; and I love how much I relate to the main character. In the story, we follow Jules. Jules was clumsy and moved differently than other elegant jellyfish (I feel you, Jules!). Also, Jules loved to move and groove!
I love how in Jules situation, her differences weren’t immediately accepted. I love how she had to take a different route; and in time things improved; not immediately. This is “just a child’s book”, but there are some amazing, deep lessons here. These lessons will help with building emotional resilience in children and also teach them to love who they are (even if others don’t).
It really is a lovely book. . .what more can I say?!
