This past year has been a ride! I have learnt a lot about myself, about healing, and about communication. I have made time for those still moments, been more self-forgiving and slowly stretched and grown in ways I have prayed for. I have travelled alone, spoken at events, met some wonderful people and gone to therapy – yes, sister, we all need some good therapy!
So, this year for 2026, my new favourite things (and our blog) are focused on:
- Healing – ourselves, our families, and the earth.
- Happiness – the little things that bring us joy, family moments, and being still.
- Honey – the sweet things in life and being brave enough to accept things boldly – whether they be compliments, gifts, or once in a lifetime experiences. You deserve it!
I have found as I have made these changes and gone through these experiences, I have been more able to love others more courageously and guide others as they have grown in this new year. I am a work in progress and I love that we can continuously grow and embrace new versions of ourselves.

NTRYMED
The first range I want to share is NTRYMED Skincare (distributed by Lamelle SA). NTRYMED has been developed by a medical doctor and is backed by scientific research. NTRYMED is making professional-grade skincare achievable and affordable!

The NTRYMED products I tried out are the following:
- Cleansing Foam
- Skin Balancing Tonic
- Firming Serum
- Soothing Cream
- Peptide Plus Creme
- Photo Protection
I really like all of the products but I have two definite favourites. The first is the Firming Serum. I love how it feels on my skin and how my skin feels after application. To me, it smells like the first rains after a fynbos fire – that may be oddly specific but I do love the smell.
My second favourite is the Peptide Plus Creme. I have tried various facial routines that have been wonderful. I have raved about the Camel Milk Soap which has fantastic healing qualities! However, I have never used a product that has seemed to reverse aging in small but noticeable ways. This has been my personal experience using the Peptide Plus Creme. So my heart-healing on the inside is now also reflecting on the outside 🌿.
Good News! As always, we are giving away a NTRYMED Hamper valued at over R2000! Scroll down to see how you can enter our amazing annual giveaway. You do not want to miss out on this!

BONNIE BIO
Under healing, I have to include one of my favourite brands. They have recently launched a new product. You may have used or know of their Air Fryer Liners; they have now launched their biodegradable Oven Tray Paper Liners. They are chlorine, bleach and plastic free. They help reduce cleaning time and prevent burns. They work so well!

Inspired by the success of their Air Fryer liners, the Bonnie Bio team saw a gap — and filled it. These guilt-free, non-stick, disposable paper oven tray liners are a total game changer for cooking anything in your oven.
They are designed to work with the oven trays that come standard with your oven, except you can bin them after a few uses (depending on what you’ve cooked). The paper trays are non-stick, which prevents food sticking and also eliminates the aluminium transfer that can occur when cooking acidic, salty, or high-heat dishes directly on aluminium foil or uncoated metal trays — particularly at temperatures above 200°C.
We will also be giving away some Bonnie Bio Oven Tray Paper Liners in our giveaway. So, if you are trying to care for the earth and your health a little better – enter below or go to your nearest Bonnie Bio product supplier.

Spot It! South Africa
With so much excitement around South Africa and our awesome sports teams, I found another fun family game for us all to enjoy, Spot it! South Africa brought to you by Solarpop. Spot it! South Africa is much like the other Spot it! games we have featured (loads of fun) but with a familiar South African twist. There are multiple ways to play this game and we each prefer the one that we can win at (ha ha!). It’s perfect for road trips and family nights in, we thoroughly enjoyed figuring out this new version of the classic game and we know you will love it too – which is why. . .we are adding it to our giveaway!

Sharks, vuvuzelas, lions, dolphins, milk tart, Soweto Towers, potjiekos, giraffes and rugby balls are just some of the proudly South African icons featured in the brand-new South African version of Spot It! Brought to you by Solarpop, Spot It! SA brings some of the country’s most recognisable sights, symbols and cultural favourites together in one fast-paced, family-friendly game.
Known internationally as a quick-thinking game of visual perception, Spot It! is simple to learn, easy to play and exciting for all ages. Each card features a selection of colourful symbols, but between any two cards there is always one matching image. The challenge is to spot the matching symbol before anyone else does. It sounds easy, but once the cards are flying and the pressure is on, the game quickly becomes a lively test of focus and reaction time.
Suitable for players aged six and up, Spot It! SA is ideal for families, friends, classrooms, holidays, game nights and anyone looking for a compact game that can be enjoyed almost anywhere. The new South African edition adds an extra layer of fun, with local references that players will recognise and proudly call out as they play.

Lucky Packet Post
I will be sharing a video about this product. . .or is it a service? Though, I want to share a small snippet of the letter that Amy from Lucky Packet Post sent me. She said:
Inside, you’ll find little pieces meant to be opened slowly. Things to use when you need to pause, a spark or a reminder that your voice and your presence matter in your own life too.
I hope it feels like a small exhale in the middle of everything else.
And I hope, when you open it, it feels less like a package and more like a conversation with someone who understands the weight and beauty of what you hold every day.
Thank you for the work you do in making family life feel seen in all its texture and tenderness.

So, what exactly is Lucky Packet Post? Lucky Packet Post is a bi-monthly themed surprise mail experience created by Write On! a South African creative wellbeing company that encourages people to slow down, reconnect with themselves and find joy in everyday life.
Every second month, customers receive a beautifully curated packet delivered to their mailbox by hand containing a collection of thoughtful paper goods, creative prompts, stationery and themed surprises designed to inspire reflection, creativity, whimsy and self-care. In a world dominated by screens and endless notifications, Lucky Packet Post offers something increasingly rare: the excitement of receiving personal mail and taking a moment to reconnect with the tangible world.
