So, it’s June…and my birthday was in May…and we USUALLY celebrate by me giving away my new favourite things but I didn’t celebrate my birthday…well, I had a party…but a pity party. So many things were happening, we experienced loss and heartache and frustration, and so many tears were shed that I cancelled my birthday this year! (Does that mean I didn’t age? Here is hoping ;)).
BUT here is the thing…I LOVE BIRTHDAYS. I love my birthday and I love your birthday and I love celebrating and I love to share the love.
So in defiance to my defiance I am celebrating my Birthday in July and around here, we celebrate birthdays for the whole month!
Firstly, before it even strikes July, I am going to share my new favourite things and there is one thing I always include and that is…yes, you guessed it! Chocolate!
1. My new favourite Chocolate is…Nestle Aero Dark
No explanation needed.
2. Silly Socks!
I like to hide the fun side of me underneath, even while working and what better way than with wearing silly socks. They just make me smile :).
3. Snugglebags (microwavable heatpacks)
Because it’s winter…and because I don’t like being cold! Perfect for cold, wintry nights or those aches and pains that just won’t go away! Long enough to wrap cosily round your feet, and works better than a hot water bottle because there is no danger of leaking and it stays at room or bed temperature instead of getting icy by morning. The Snugglebag can also be kept in the freezer and used as a cold pack for newer muscle aches, bumps and burns and has a removable and washable cover for your convenience.
4. Avon Mascara
I love Avon, I have been using Avon since I was a teen and I love their products…AND since all my other favourites have been creature comforts, here is something that will lift you up and make you feel fabulous – yes, a mascara can do that.
5. My final favourite thing is – to give, to lift & to help another.
A lot of people are going through some really rough times at the moment. See where you can help someone else. See how you can lift someone’s burden. We sometimes don’t realise that we can make a difference even if we don’t have much. Look at the “Girl with Cake” for example!
Well, that’s it. Tell me what is your favourite in the comments below!
