Creating a Successful balance of Peace

I have come to the conclusion that in this busy world people only really want one thing and that is peace. Financial peace, spiritual peace, family peace, emotional peace, etc. Famous/Rich people tend to have financial peace and yet most times cease to maintain peace in other areas of their lives.

The fact of the matter is that attaining that perfect balance of peace seems often unreachable but at the same time not impossible.

While you may have your own way of achieving this “peace”, let me share a few steps/ways that may help you to create that balance:

  1. When you wake up in the morning – DECIDE to be happy.
Happiness is, believe it or not, a choice. Often things may happen to you that will cause you to be sad for a time (and that is okay and normal) but generally we can either choose to be proactive or reactive!
  2. Meditate
We all have different ways of doing this. Meditation does not mean sitting with your legs crossed and humming (although it can). Meditation is time taken to be quiet, to listen to your heart, to think about your day or your trials and time to just breathe. However you choose to do it – just DO IT!
  3. Prepare
Be prepared! What does this mean? Be prepared in all things – be prepared financially, be prepared for the next day to avoid rushing about looking for that missing shoe, be prepared emotionally and spiritually (you never know what life is going to throw at you) – just be prepared.
  4. Accept
Sometimes we will be forced to go through things that we would have liked to avoid. There is a well-know prayer that gives us the answer to that:
“God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I Cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
And Wisdom to know the difference”
  5. Always give your best effort.
This way you will never say I could have/I should have/maybe if. You will know the answer – You did your best and there is nothing more that you could have/should have/would have done. Giving your best will also boost your self-confidence.
  6. And Finally, Love
Don’t forget to love. Don’t forget to appreciate. Love nature and Appreciate it, love your family and Appreciate them. Love those around you, love those you don’t know (see their full potential) – Just love. We don’t do enough of that. Loving is a very healing principle!

I hope that these few steps/ideas help you to create a successful balance of peace in your life. All the best!
