Simple Vanilla Custard for Two
A simple recipe for those nights when mom and dad feel like a little something sweet but don’t feel like going to loads of effort!
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup of Milk
- 3 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 3/4 tsp Vanilla
- 1/8 tsp Salt (optional)
- 1/8 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- In a small bowl beat the egg, milk, brown sugar, vanilla and salt (if desired) until blended.
- Pour into two ungreased ramekins and sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Place ramekins in square baking tin. Fill pan with hot water to a depth of 2-3 cm.
- Bake, uncovered, at 180° Celsius for 30 – 35 minutes or until knife inserted near the centre comes out clean.
