Hello Family Treasures Family. We have been rather quiet recently. We have experienced more loss and heartache, we have lost another friend (just after the birth of her baby), we have had friends and family going through very hard times and it is at times like this that family becomes even more important (and of course, our adopted families – those friends who feel like blood).
It is also at times like this when we re-evaluate our lives. For many people 2014 has been the toughest year yet! Can you relate? Has 2014 been that for you?
So, I have sat back and pondered this monster of a year and realised that through all of that, 2014 has been the year that I have been most blessed, the year I have loved the hardest, been open & emotionally honest (see my blog post https://familytreasures.co.za/2014/01/new-years-and-resolutions), taken time to see where I am and where I want to be, made mistakes and learnt, had fun, laughed, been REALLY silly, seen my family grow, been loved more than I was hurt, screamed, danced, took a stand, inspired and was inspired. I wasn’t always early but I was better than last year ;).
I am truly grateful for all my friends and family that have been so supportive, loving, kind and understanding and I want to thank you, my family treasures family for sharing your experiences, support and laughs with us.
May you have a blessed Christmas with your family and may 2015 be simply – AWESOME!
